Infringement and licensing

Find out who is using your patents, with evidence that holds up.

A portfolio is worth what someone else is practising. We identify who that is, document it to the standard a licensee, a court or a funder expects, and put it in the form a deal needs.

What we do

From a portfolio to a position you can act on.

  1. Start from the patents you hold

Your granted claims, in any jurisdiction. No product list or hypothesis needed. If you suspect a particular company, say so; if you do not, that is the point of the exercise.

  2. Identify who is practising them

Every company whose filings and products read on your claims, across the whole field, not just the names you already know. Candidates are ranked by how strongly the evidence supports each claim element, so attention goes where the case is strongest.

  3. Document it to a standard that survives scrutiny

Element-by-element claim charts against named products, each entry quoting the source and citing where it came from. Nothing is inferred and presented as found. Where the evidence is not there, the chart says so.

  4. Reviewed by a patent professional before it reaches you

Automated matching produces confident false positives when two unrelated fields share vocabulary. Every chart is reviewed by a patent professional before it leaves. That review is why the output can go in front of opposing counsel.

What you receive
  • A ranked target list: companies and products, with the strength of the read on each
  • Indication of Use and Evidence of Use charts, counsel-ready, quoted and sourced
  • Portfolio triage: which assets carry identifiable use and are worth pursuing first
  • Lapse screening: patents approaching renewal or abandonment, reviewed for licensing or sale value before they are dropped
  • Legal status and family coverage for every patent in scope, so the position holds across markets
  • A prospectus and data pack for sale, licensing or funding diligence

Every claim traces to a source. Where the evidence is not there, we say so. Nothing is filled in to make a chart look complete.

Bring us a patent

Three routes to value

License it, enforce it, or sell it. The evidence is the same.

Licensing programme

Indication of Use charts open the conversation; Evidence of Use charts sustain it. A ranked target list turns a single approach into a programme, prioritised by the strength of the read and the size of the counterparty.

Enforcement

Counsel-ready claim charts with quoted, sourced evidence, and the legal status and family coverage that tells you where the position holds. The groundwork for a letter, a complaint, or a funding application.

Sale or funding

A prospectus and data pack built the way the market reads them: portfolio summary, the evidence behind each asset, status and coverage, and the identified use that gives a buyer or funder confidence in the number.

For funders and acquirers: the same work serves diligence on someone else's portfolio. Independent, sourced, and reviewed, so the position is tested before the money moves. Ask about diligence →

Why it finds what manual review misses

The companies you have not thought of use different words for the same thing.

Manual review of a crowded field is slow, expensive, and limited to the names already on the list. Keyword search finds the companies that describe their products the way you describe your claims. The ones that matter often do not.

The whole field, not a shortlist

Every assignee and every product description in the domain is compared against your claims, not a sample chosen in advance.

Meaning, not vocabulary

A claim element and the sentence that reads on it are matched on what they mean, so a competitor's own terminology does not hide them.

Confidential by design

Your portfolio and your targets are handled as confidential. Nothing you give us is retained beyond the engagement or used for anyone else's work.

The method underneath is described for technical readers on the Platform page. You do not need it to use the service.
